The 2017 Emmy Awards Honor “PBS Nature’s Super Hummingbirds”
PBS programs were honored with 12 News & Documentary Emmy Awards, more than any other organization, at the 38th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards ceremony at the Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall on Thursday, October 5.
WNET’s Nature took home the award for “Outstanding Cinematography: Documentary” for the Season 35 premiere episode Super Hummingbirds. Nature executive producer Fred Kaufman, producer & cinematographer Ann Johnson Prum, cinematographers Andrew Wegst and Mark Carroll were in attendance to accept the award on behalf of the team that includes cameramen Nathan Dappen and Neil Lossin.
FRONTLINE, Independent Lens, PBS NewsHour, and POV were also honored with awards. To view the complete list of winners, click here.
